Court Upholds Tambuwal’s Election As Sokoto Governor

An Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has upheld the election of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
The court, presided by Justice Gabriel Kolawole, said the application challenging the correctness of the December 4, 2014 primary election of the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto State, through which Mr. Tambuwal emerged flagbearer of the APC, lacked merit and is therefore dismissed.
Another member of the party, Umar Dahiru, had approached the court, requesting that it sets aside the APC primaries following allegation of non-compliance of the said primaries to laid down rules by the party to select its flagbearer

Supreme Court Sacks Abubakar Danladi Sani From Senate -

The Supreme Court has sacked Abubakar Danladi from the Nigerian Senate. Mr. Danladi represented Taraba North in the Senate. The apex court also ordered him to refund all salaries and allowances earned in the Senate within 90 days. The Ohanaeze Ndigbo , an apex socio -cultural organisation of the Igbo , on Thursday , disowned the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and his movement, IPOB. The President - General of Ohanaeze, Chief John Nnia Nwodo said this while addressing members of the Anambra State house of Assembly at the Legislative Complex , Awka , Anambra State .
